Intertendencies

This blog has been left fallow for quite a while. I never really used it consistently, and even that managed to deteriorate in time.

These days I seem to be more in the conversation mode of Twitter and Facebook.

I recently had an old friend comment that I seem to spend a lot of time on Facebook. That's not entirely true. Most of what I put there is from somewhere else. Postings are generally composed with Twitter in mind and then shared with Facebook. Most of the links I put up there are automatically added when I like something enough to click the share button in Google Reader. If I'm particularly enjoying a song that I'm listening to I'll click a button that tells this to LastFM. These get automatically shared as well. Friends' Facebook comments go onto my TweetDeck. I really only log into Facebook in response to these or to reply to an email. Of course then I'll muck about with whatever shiny things catch my eye. For some annoying reason, as far as I can tell, Facebook has stopped telling people when I post new pictures to Flickr. Of course I need to get back to taking pictures and flinging 'em at Flickr again too...

The Battle Against Dyspadia

The Battle Against Dyspadia

I've before how there are some games that I just can’t seem to play because my dyslexia applies to circles and squares.

This is my high score screen for beats. beats is one of those hit the button corresponding to the falling image in time to the music. This was one of those "Games I Can't Play".

I guess good music makes it easier for me to do the work to find ways around the dys.

I'm still playing on novice, but I assure you this is just the first step towards World Domination! Mwa-ha-ha-ha-haaaa! (a-hem)

Generic promise of more blogging to come...

No, really.

Words and pictures will spring from my forehead and scamper down my arms to hurl themselves at unwitting passers-by. It'll happen. Sooooon...

Friday

I want to start a new picture meme...

... But next year would be better.

Seasonal Self Portrait

So, here I am dressed as my impression of my cat, Smacky.

After doing this I thought that it would be cool to see other people's impressions of their pets. Then I realized that it would be better to post this sort of thing a touch earlier in the year. I mean, I can hear the "Get Out" fireworks as I type this, so it's a bad time to try to give people costume ideas. (Oh, and yeah. Deep inside I'm doubly bummed. I'm not in a great gathering for my favorite holiday and I'm missing fireworks. This is proof I'm living wrong.)

Anyway, consider this a seed. Next time time you get into a costume you might wonder what an amusing impression of your pet would be...

I'm sorry. The words, "Pet Cosplaying" just passed through my brain...
