My life in the bush of software.

I just whacked the Last.fm link off of my SuprGlu page. iScrobbler, the iTunes thingy to tell Last.fm what I'm listening to just doesn't get along with my computer. I won't go into the ways, but it's not worth leaving running for me.

I still don't know why I have three blogs if I rarely write to any of 'em. I think I'm just optimistic...

Speaking of which, I've been using ecto and am enjoying it immensely. It's a blog editor for OS X and seems to give my what I want as an editor much more than Mars Edit. Unfortunately, Mars Edit is the one I own and ecto will stop working for me in eight days - if I was working I'd definitely buy a license. Fortunately, Mars Edit is apparently on track for a major upgrade, so it may get to be more what I want. (I should do some musing on what I want in this sort of thing sometime.)

I seem to be getting closer to comfortable in Tinderbox. It's one of those programs that it's easy to get lost in and forget how easy it is to use for simple things. I'm finding that if I use it as a thought grabber that it's much easier to then get said thoughts into some sort of order. I'd love a way to drop something into it using Quicksilver.

Quicksilver's become the thing that I can't picture using my Mac without. If I had it on a system where Tinderbox had somehow fused with the Finder I'd be a happy man indeed. I should muse more on that as well sometime too...
