Mid May 1984:
I’m a senior in high school.
I’m a gaming dweeb who’s in the SCA and into punk.
I’m an International Thespian.
I’m in AP English, but still in special ed.
I‘m not going to let this smoking thing become a habit.
I always have a bag of Hershey’s Kisses near at hand.
As the only beer drinker in the house I’ve been able to put beer on the shopping list for almost two years now.
I drink at least a six-pack of Coke a day.
It’s absolutely inconceivable that I’ll make it to age 25, probably not even 21.
My biggest guilty musical pleasure is Roxy Music’s Avalon. I’m not sure why it was a guilty pleasure. Probably because it’s not aggo. It’s kind of soft and vulnerable. I was really trying not to be soft, and felt far too vulnerable. Still I liked Avalon.

Now:
I just put on Avalon, and I still love it. I’m going to be 42 in a couple of months. That’s twice 21 for those that are keeping track. Avalon’s not a guilty pleasure any more. It’s one hell of a memory catalyst though...
More than this you know there's nothing...
