No promises, just an observation and an expectation of personal repercussions.
Of course I'm starting by tweaking my web presence. I swear, that's almost becoming a meditation exercise. Something for my hands and forebrain to do while the real work is happening.
Actually, I take back the "No promises," bit. I've promises myself that if I'm going to push out links to articles that I'm going to add something to them. The first, tiny step in that direction is that I'm no longer pushing out "My starred items in Google Reader." Instead, I'm using their shared items functionality more or less as I'm supposed to. You can see the page for that here.
I've improved how my my various bits of data appear on that information swamp known as Facebook. A bunch of my friends use it and seem to enjoy it, so I figure I should make it easier for them to know I'm alive and doing my webbish things.
And, since I can, I've put up dTunes, a page that scrubs the net to find copies of what I'm listening to and posts links to them. I used Joe Lazarus' trick to do it. So far it's only been getting a rather small part of what I'm playing, but •shrug•.
Oh yeah, I set up a web page for me to just write on. It's not a blog, and you most likely don't want to see it too often. It's not hard to find if you look, but I don't think it's worth putting a link up for or anything like that...
OK, the next trick will be some sort of actual communication. Does Twittering more count? I am, but I don't think so. I'm trying to be better on the email front, but that slips so easily still. I'm great at responding to text messages, and I've even started to open my IM client sometimes. (If you want to contact me by one of those and don't know how, let me know.) And, yes, without my actually participating in conversations, those don't really count either.
